Personalized Strategies for Preconception Correction
Development of a systemic algorithm for personalized preconception correction based on multilevel phenotyping of patients.
Key Scientific Idea
Multilevel phenotyping of a patient (genetic, metabolic, hormonal, immune, microbiome and structural-anatomical) will make it possible to develop an individual strategy for the correction of reproductive disorders, increasing the chances of achieving reproductive function and the overall effectiveness of ART (assisted reproductive technologies). Development of a clinical algorithm for personalized preparation will reduce the number of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and increase the overall effectiveness of ART. The establishment of a new scientific field at the intersection of reproductive medicine, bioinformatics and nutrigenomics, as well as the development of a classification of phenotypes of preconception disorders, may serve as a basis for further research.

Biological Resources and Pharmacological Potential of the Flora of Arid Territories

Key Scientific Idea
The project is aimed at determining the pharmacological potential of plants of the flora of arid territories with unique climatic characteristics that shape specific adaptive properties in plants, making them a promising object for the search for new sources of biologically active substances. The concept is based on comprehensive screening of the biological effects of plant samples in whole organisms using behavioral tests, assessment of biochemical markers of inflammation and stress, and molecular verification, which makes it possible to evaluate their pharmacological properties - anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, antidepressant, adaptogenic, immunotropic, etc.
The Astrakhan Region, as a territory of the Caspian macroregion, is of interest as a promising site for the cultivation of plant species with the aim of establishing clusters for the development of phytopharmaceuticals. Currently, the Chinese side is already implementing similar projects to establish plantations and medicinal plant clusters in other Russian territories (Altai, Smolensk Region) and is interested in scaling this experience to regions with similar agro-climatic conditions. The scientific significance lies in the creation of the first experimental database on the biological activity of the Astrakhan flora; the practical significance lies in the development of a scientifically grounded list of promising plant species for joint projects with the PRC on the cultivation of raw materials and the preclinical development of phytopharmaceuticals.
